Hey everyone! My name is Mahrukh and I am the student representative for The University of Sheffield for cohort 4. My PhD is understanding the biological pathways involved in acute respiratory innate immunity and infection. My interests outside of my PhD include running, calligraphy, pottery and hiking around the Peak District. I am an advocate for improving equality, diversity, inclusion and mental health in science and research.
Hi, I’m Robyn! I’m going into my final year at the University of Liverpool, and my research focuses on the role of mitochondria and mitochondrial genetics in drug-induced liver injury. Outside the lab I enjoy travelling and cooking. I’m also a DiMeN Diversity team member – message me to get involved!

Hi, I’m James and I am currently a first year PhD student in Immunopharmacology at the University of Liverpool.
My research is focused on developing novel immunotherapy options for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

My PhD is based in the translational immunotherapy group at the University of Leeds, aiming to understand factors that limit responses to immunotherapy treatment in patients with advanced liver cancer and how we can overcome these. In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, reading and baking.
