Many of our DiMeN PhD students attended the North-East Postgraduate (NEPG) conference on 30th October. This is the biggest annual event of it's kind and we were very proud to see 17 of our second year students present their research, with 10 oral talks and 7 posters.
This event was also an excellent opportunity for all our new, 2017 intake PhD students, to attend a conference to see the exciting research currently active across our network.
For more about the event please search the #NEPG2017 on Twitter.
Special mention to DiMeN student Blanca who won the runner up prize for her research poster entitled: "The NF-kappaB transcription factor subunit c-Rel is enriched in endothelial cells at disease-prone regions of the aorta."
Congratulations to all our students who took part.
