HackMed is a medical themed Hackathon based here in the University of Sheffield. Nazia and Natalie presented an excellent diagnostic app using newly published genomic data for COVID-19 from the University of Sheffield’s team.
"Our App takes away a lot of the initial hurdles of analysing genomic data. It allows users to import the FASTQ files which (from the Nanopore analysis) directly into our App. The app will conducts analysis for the user by filtering out the patients DNA and bacterial DNA to pick out just the COVID-19.
